Is it really free? What's the catch?
There’s no catch. Studio Fonts is free to install, with no account or card needed. Inspecting fonts, seeing where they’re served from, the system scan, type scales and your library are free for good. Pro raises the monthly limits on live previews and one-click saves, and adds font-pairing suggestions and backup to your own cloud.
What happens when I hit a monthly limit?
Nothing breaks. Inspecting, scanning and your library are never capped. Only live previews and one-click saves from Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts have a monthly allowance, and it resets at the start of each month.
Is my data safe? What if I uninstall?
Your library lives in your browser and syncs through your own Chrome account, so it comes back when you reinstall while signed in. You can save a .studio backup file at any time, and Pro also backs up to your own Google Drive or Dropbox.
Is it a subscription? Can I cancel anytime?
Pro is $11.99 a year, billed through Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider. You can cancel anytime using the link in your receipt email. If you cancel, you drop back to the free tier and keep every font you saved.
Which browsers does it work in?
Google Chrome, on any system Chrome runs on, including Mac, Windows, Linux and ChromeOS.
Is my data private?
Yes. Studio Fonts only runs on a page after you open it there. It has no analytics or trackers, and nothing you inspect or save is sent to Studio Grid. If you buy Pro, the extension sends only your licence key to our licence server to verify it. The privacy policy explains exactly what’s sent and when.
