The colour tool that lives next to your builder.

A side-panel colour kit for web designers. Eyedrop any pixel, build palettes and ramps, fix contrast in one click, and export straight to Tailwind, CSS, or theme.json while your Bricks, Elementor, or Divi canvas stays fully visible.

More than just an eyedropper.

Picking a colour is table stakes. These five features are why Studio Colour earns a spot in your stack.

The eyedropper

Pick any pixel
right on the page.

Sample a colour from anything the page renders, including hero images, video frames, CSS gradients and embedded logos. If you can see it on the page, you can turn it into a swatch.

Ramps in one click

Turn one colour
into a whole ramp.

Drop in a base colour and Studio Colour builds a perceptually even tint-and-shade scale from 50 to 950, tuned so the steps look evenly spaced. It takes one click to make the ramp you would otherwise nudge by hand for an hour.

Accessible by default

WCAG and APCA,
side by side.

Every colour pair is checked against the current standard and the one that's coming, with a clear pass or fail on each. It's free forever, so you can catch a failing combination before an audit does.

Ship it your way

Copy as Tailwind,
CSS, or theme.json.

One click turns a palette into the format your stack uses, whether that's tokens, custom properties or a config block, so you never retype a hex code.

Always within reach

A full workspace in your side panel.

Studio Colour lives in a native Chrome side panel docked beside your builder. Your palettes are saved, so you can pick up where you left off, and the panel is already open when you need it.

There’s no catch. Studio Colour is free forever, with no account or card needed. You can eyedrop, build ramps, check WCAG and APCA contrast, and export to CSS or Tailwind without paying anything. A few heavier actions (extractions and exports) have a monthly allowance, and free save limits start modest. Pro lifts every cap and adds the bigger deliverables, and the free tier stays a complete tool you can use for real work.

Nothing breaks. The everyday tools (eyedrop, contrast, ramps and gradients) are never capped. Only a few heavier actions, like image and page extractions or code exports, have a monthly allowance, which a live meter shows. If you reach the cap, you can wait for the monthly reset or go Pro for High-volume. Your work is never locked or deleted.

Your colours, palettes and gradients live locally in your browser, and you can export everything to a portable backup file any time, even without Pro. If you cancel Pro, switch machines, or reinstall, you can restore everything in one click.

Pro is $29.99/year, billed through Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider. You can cancel anytime using the link in your receipt email. If you cancel, you drop back to the free tier and keep every colour and palette you saved, so there’s nothing to export in a hurry.

Google Chrome, on any OS Chrome runs on, including Mac, Windows, Linux and ChromeOS. A Microsoft Edge version is coming soon. It lives in a native side panel docked beside whatever you’re building, on any website or page builder.

Yes. Your colours and palettes stay in your browser. Studio Colour has no analytics or trackers and never sells your data, and the free tier needs no account at all. If you buy Pro, you check out with Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider, and the extension only sends your licence key and a device name to verify it. Joining our newsletter is optional. The privacy policy explains exactly what’s sent and when.
